I used to use Alpecin C1 but this cleans much more using just once. It has a good scent but it's too early to say about the results. I've been using for just 2 weeks. The price is quite high for its volume. Could be cheaper.

I am a fan of Foligain products. I am currently using the Foligain shampoo for thinning hair and have noticed a difference in hair loss since using it.

I forgot to mention that this has not irritated my sensitive scalp at all. I was worried it would, but it's been great. After application, it does leave the hair a little greasy looking, but after a few hours, that goes. There is also another bonus, I usually have to wash my hair every.morning before the gym, then after, but since using this, my morning hair isn't at all greasy!

Also, consider that minoxidil doesn't work alone. You do have to used a DHT blocker like saw palmetto or pumpkin seed oil. DHT blockers stop the hair fall, while minoxidil stimulates the follicles for regrowth. Also, use a DHT blocking shampoo once or twice per week and a caffeine shampoo on the other days. And remember, for best results with regrowth, hair needs to be washed daily.

That was the best chance of hair regrowth and my scalp loved it

I've been using foligain for several years now and it's really helped. In my late 50s my hair was badly thinning. It's soul destroying. I tried the foam version which I didn't like at all as it left my hair sticky and having to wash it daily. All the experts tell you to avoid washing too much. It's awful when the pillow is full of hair in the morning and you watch what little hair you have going down the plug hole. This lotion doesn't make your hair sticky at all it's easy to apply , twice a day. I first noticed less hair loss. It's no quick fix and you have to commit to using it every day. After 8 months my hairdresser commented that my hair was much thicker and looking good. I hadn't told her that I was using foligain. I don't know if the hair loss would return if I stopped using it, it's a risk I'm not prepared to take. I bumped into a lady I used to work with who was also going through post menopausal hair loss at the same time as me, we used to moan about it together and compare notes on what products we had tried . She left before i discovered foligain and i was shocked to see that she was virtually bald in some areas. I couldnt help thinking that i would be in the same predicament if i hadnt diacovered foligain. Needless to say Ive passed on the details of foligain to her and we've exchanged numbers and shes going to let me know how she gets on with it. Nothing can make you feel more down than a bad hair day and when every day is a bad day it wears you down. At its worse i was considering a wig.
